The 1st 'Ghosthunter' training day went well - although obviously I am biased but so far the feedback we have received from the participants has been positive. Richard Felix is best known for his role on Most Haunted rather than his ability to cook. The food was excellent, but Richard has discovered that smoke coming from the oven means the baked spuds are done!
The team is back at Cammell Lairds this weekend for another investigation - this takes us to almost 800 hours at this location and we still have some anomalies that continue to defy explanation! Some recent discoveries whilst using our Infrasound Measuring Equipment have meant some further progress has been made and although it's early days the initial results are extremely interesting - they will be published onto the website in due course.
Several people have mentioned that Para.Science has received a mention in the current issue of Paranormal Magazine so I finally tracked down a copy today to see for myself. Richard had indeed given us quite a mention following his recent visit to spend some time with us at the shipyard (see above). I swear we never paid him a penny for writing those words although I think that perhaps we owe him a measure or two of his favourite tipple ( Scottish of course) next time we meet - Thanks Richard!
T'Internet is still not right - NTL of course remain tight lipped about the troubles they are having - too busy buying ITV I suppose to come and fix the cable box in street outside Para.Science towers. If anyone is waiting for replies to emails, then please accept our apologies on behalf of NTL.......

After the quiet of last weekend this coming weekend should be a bit more lively - back to Derby Gaol to host a training day for those who wish to take their paranormal investigations a little more seriously - hopefully, there won't be an orb in sight!!
T'Internet and email have been playing up again, hence the lack of Blogs! - of course NTL say it isn't their fault but I suppose the frustration has been tempered a little by the increased peace and quiet and the chance to catch up on some reading instead of trawling the web half the night.
On the subject of things not working, my Tom Tom sat nav broke down too. Just decided it no longer wanted to switch-on. Of course it's under warranty and will get repaired but if it's not back by the weekend then we're going to have to rely on Ann's map-reading skills to find our way to Derby. Ann is of course an excellent navigator and the time we set-off from North Lancs to return home to Cheshire via Scotland was down to poor signposting and motorway design on the M6.
STP
As opposed to the hour and a half it took us to get out of Coventry, when we were relying on Steve cos the sat nav had given up. It was that bad, our celebrity passenger had to get out of the back seat and throw up at the side of the road.

At last a quiet weekend - no investigations planned! We return to the shipyard case in a couple of weeks but before that we will be hosting the 1st "So you want to be a Ghosthunter" paranormal investigator training day at Derby Gaol. In the past, so many people have enquired about how they become a paranormal investigator and what techniques they should be using that we decided in colaboration with Richard Felix to run a series of courses for all those with a serious interest in becoming investigators themselves. The first course is already well subscribed with future courses in the planning stages - for those interested, booking and enquiries are currently being handled via the Derby Gaol website.
The BIG NEWS is that we have been asked to headline at next years Mary Kings Close Ghost festival to be held in May 2007. Together with co-conspirator Ciaran O'Keeffe we are currently working on a series of events and experiments for the 10 day festival which will be both fun and informative.
Right then - the weather forecast for this weekend is for lots of sunshine and that means either tidy the garden or play with our new Hi-Def video camera - Hmm, I wonder which it will be!!

A big thank you to those who came along to our Halloween Special! And those of you who missed it, you missed not only me (ha ha ha!!) but Richard Felix, Steve Parsons, and, wait for it,........... Matthew Smith and Rachael! Don't you wish you'd been there!
Despite the best efforts of something supernatural, which meant it was jolly cold and half the guests got stuck on the M6, a good time was had by the hardy few who made it!
Guests were treated to a slideshow (by me), a very interesting talk by psychic medium Carl Fletcher, part of the new So You Want To Be A Ghosthunter dvd (it's really good, you must buy it), and a paranormal debate starring Richard Felix and Steve Parsons, with interjections by me (Steve's told me I can't put the next bit in, but it involved Richard and a piano.......).
It was great to meet up with people again, look forward to seeing you all at So You Want To Be A Ghosthunter at Derby Gaol on 11th!
